Michelle first met the children at Butiki in 2018, establishing the first partnership of The Uganda project. At Butiki, children are not just cared for—they’re empowered. With their daily needs met and a strong foundation in faith, they’re being raised to lead, serve, and shine beyond their circumstances. This is where identity is discovered, education is prioritized, and lifelong impact begins.

Legacy

Michelle was able to return to Uganda in 2025, and one of the places she visited was the WillGive Children's Home. This home is overseen by Godfrey Isabirye, a man who was once himself a vulnerable street orphan, taken in and raised by a kind and godly woman. She was the founder of WillGive Hearts and at her passing Godfrey carried on in her stead as the overseer. With a heart full of gratitude for what was done for him, he now turns and helps orphaned children abandoned to the streets. We are excited about this new partnership and have great hopes for being able to come along side Godfrey to help him do what he is so tirelessly and selflessly doing.
